Division wide Bible conferences were held in different places of India every year. In 2015 it was held at Hapur, in Upper Ganges Section Campus from March 27-April 1. 110 delegates from all unions were present. Four Biblical Research Personnel were the resource persons who led out the program. March 27, Friday was a high day for Hapur church on which a new church building was inaugurated in the presence of the members and delegates of the conference. Ezras Lakra, North India Union President, declared it open and Attar Sing, Union treasurer, cut the ribbon and opened it for the glory of God. Daniel Devadas, ministerial secretary of Southern Asia Division inspired the congregation by his message on the exemplary life of Daniel, the Hebrew youth who became the prime minister of four heathen kings later on. After the Sabbath school lesson study, Jiri Moskala, Andrews University Professor, spoke about “the God of Jacob: Seeing the Face of God”, during the divine service. He expressed his wish to see God’s face on each one of us when others look at our faces.

On Sabbath afternoon, the first session of the Seminar was presented by Angel Rodriguez, former director, Biblical Research Institute on the topic—‘Remnant’ as we see it from the book of Genesis to Revelation. During the second session, Jiri Moskala presented “the meaning of intercessory ministry of Jesus for us in the heavenly sanctuary.

On Sunday Ekkardt Mueller, Biblical Research Institute, took the devotion and Arthur Stele, chairman Biblical Research Institute, spoke about the suggested changes to 28 Fundamental beliefs. Jiri Moskala presented “Difficult expressions and texts regarding the divinity of Christ.” After noon Jiri Moskala presented Proverbs 8 and the theory of Kenosis in view of Christ’s divinity and Angel Rodriguez presented Daniel 11, a deep study. There was a session of questions and answers too.

On Monday, the devotion was led by Arthur Stele on the book of Ruth and challenged delegates to be a goel to every family for which they are responsible for. During the first session Angel Rodriguez presented “the last generation theology”; followed by Arthur Stele who dealt on the topic, “What the growing churches have in common.” Arthur Stele continued the discussion on revision of the 28 fundamental beliefs. After noon Ekkehardt Mueller, assistant director, Biblical Research Institute, talked about “Occult “practices and how it would appear in the community. Then Angel Rodriguez addressed the issue in Revelation 12: 9-10, followed by question and answer session.
On Tuesday, the devotion was led by Angel Rodriguez who dealt with conflict between darkness and light especially from the book of Isaiah 60:1-3 narrating his own experience with the power of darkness and how he related himself with a co-passenger who was under the spell of darkness in Aero plane and bore witness to him. Angel Rodriguz dealt with “Pnumatology – Adventists and Holy spirit.” He also expounded on Daniel 11th chapter.

In the next session Arthur Stele made a presentation on Acts 3:8 inviting all to be witnesses for Jesus. He also narrated his own experience in Russia where he worked with new and the only Adventist seminary in Russia. The permission to build a seminary was granted to the Adventist church by the Russian government. Members from different Adventist churches came to help the construction. As a result, a marvelous building, a monument in artistic work, was raised up. Hearing about the magnificent artistic building, many tourists visited the building. On one occasion a group of top politicians came to visit and the top leader, with curiosity asked him about Jesus and he was able to bear a strong witness of Jesus to the government officials, which they appreciated very much.
To conclude, union president, Ezras Lakra, talked about the beauty of God’s Word and admonished that everyone should love the word and get revived by diligent study of the word. On Wednesday, the delegates had an opportunity to visit Tajmahal in Agra, a historic monument of Mughal empire in India.
